Vanessa studied design and illustration in California at Otis Art Institute/Parson School of Design and in the UK at the University of Stirling in Scotland. Early in her career, Vanessa launched and managed an insurance fraud investigation team which saved millions – that’s where she honed her ability to zero-in and ask the right questions. Vanessa founded the web design firm Design to Spec in 1999 in Darien, CT and now works with clients in 10 states. A geek at heart, she loves technology – she is not only capable in the latest online services and social media, but knows how to make them work because she uses them herself!
